Just as we have a board of directors here in the United States, we also have a board in Ethiopia. We can’t wait to introduce them to you! First up, meet Fekadu Fereje, the chairperson for our in-country board.
Fekadu was born in Southwest Ethiopia in 1951 and has been married for 37 years. He is the father of five children. He attended Debre- Birhan Teaching College and upon his graduation taught history for ten years in many parts of Ethiopia. Following his teaching career, he worked for 16 years in Hitsanat Amba as a Personnel and Finance Manager. Hitsanat Amba was a village near Ziway established to accommodate and provide help and support for orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC) who had lost their parents due to Civil War in the country. He went on to manage a private firm for many years and upon his retirement still consults on a part-time basis. He is happy to bring his many years of knowledge and experience to helping serve those at Addis Jemari. #BetterTogether #AJFamily
