Happy Ethiopian New Year!

September 11, 2017- Melkam Addis Amet….. Happy New Year! The Ethiopian calendar is based on the Julian Calendar making today New Years Day, #Enkutatash, in Ethiopia of the year 2010! This day also marks the end of the rainy season and the return of Queen Sheba from King Soloman in Jerusalem back in 98 BC. According to InCultureParent, “after attending church in the morning, families gather to share a traditional meal of injera (flat bread) and wat (stew).
