The AJ Girls have recently been studying the book of Luke in the Bible. In chapter 15, they read Jesus’ parable about the lost sheep.
Jesus has a heart for the lost. He told this parable to the Pharisees because they did not understand why Jesus spent time with sinners. The Pharisees felt Jesus should want to focus on the righteous, not the lost. Jesus wanted them to know that God loves each and every sinner and that He, just like a shepherd, cares for the lost sheep just as much, if not more, than the righteous.
