Volunteer training coordinator, Lydia Johnson

Jan 25, 2019

We have recently expanded upon our Financial Literacy education, which is one of our five core values. While in Ethiopia earlier this month, our volunteer training coordinator, Lydia Johnson, did a fantastic job rolling out the first four modules of our seven-lesson curriculum to both our AJ Girls and our AJ staff.

Since our curriculum teaches finance from the inside out through values, goals, and self-worth, we thought it was important that our staff understand the curriculum since they work with the AJ girls on a daily basis. We were in awe when our staff came back to us sharing their personal experiences of how this new curriculum has now impacted their own views on values, goals, and beliefs. Knowing what you value and believe is fundamentally important to understand before you can delve into the specifics of personal finances. When you get clear on what you value, it is easier to get clear on what to do with your time, energy and resources. #AJ5CoreValues # #BetterTogether #AJFamily
