Become a champion and volunteer who supports and promotes the mission of Addis Jemari to empower orphans, vulnerable children, and their families to end generational poverty.

By becoming an AJ Advocate, you are committing to: 

  • Attending 45-minute quarterly video conference calls to get updates on what’s happening on the ground in Ethiopia
  • Raising awareness among family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers by sharing why you support the work of AJ.
  • Helping us empower more families by sharing the opportunity to become a monthly sponsor with your network.
  • Building relationships and collaborating with other AJ Advocates on ways to spread the word about our work.
  • Praying for AJ and staying informed through emails, social media, and quarterly calls.
  • Periodically purchase items on our Amazon Wishlist and encourage others in your network to do the same.
  • Considering the possibility of traveling with us to Ethiopia if the opportunity arises.

Quarterly calls include: 

  • An opportunity to hear directly from one of our Ethiopian program directors.
  • A high-level overview of what’s happening in our programs in Ethiopia (reports related to AJ Home and our Family Empowerment Program).
  • Confidential information related to the lives of the people we serve and the challenges we’re facing.
