We are striving to end generational poverty in Ethiopia not only by our work with our #AJGirls and #AJFEP families, but also by stimulating the Ethiopian economy as much as we can, whenever possible. We purchase whatever we can for our programs and beneficiaries locally through Ethiopian businesses. We also buy our handmade and fair trade products for our Addis Jemari Marketplace from local Ethiopian artisans. Lastly, we hire in-country staff to support our home and programs. We believe in empowering nationals to rise up and become leaders within our organization. As with any problem solving techniques, multiple plans of action are the most effective.
