Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone as we navigate the outbreak of COVID-19 across the world. Ethiopia announced its first confirmed cases this week.
Addis Jemari’s healthcare training at our Family Empowerment Center last week had a focus on viruses and the specific steps of what the World Health Organization recommends on the Coronavirus. Training went through seven steps of handwashing to keep our beneficiaries as protected as possible. The same training is being taught in our AJ Home. Washing one’s hands with soap and water is a priority, and we are providing measures to ensure water, which is vital, is available to the families and children we serve.
We are so blessed that our donors and champions gave so generously to our Giving Tuesday Clean Water fundraiser this past December and that our health and hygiene program got kicked off when it did, considering the current state of global events. God is so good!
