Our precious AJ Girls spent their summer volunteering as part of our new “Change your Community” project. Each girl came up with their own individual summer community outreach projects of their choice.
Currently, we have one girl volunteering at the St. Mother Theresa Home for the Sick, Dying and Destitute, working directly with impoverished teenage mothers and their babies. Another one of our girls took on a local tutoring center and provided a weekly lesson, snacks, and fun summer activities for children that attend the tutoring center. One of our other AJ Girls took on Addis Jemari’s new Family Empowerment Center and served the families in our Family Empowerment Program.
