Changing things up for our #AJGirls this summer as they transition their focus from their school studies to one of our #AJ5CoreValues, Community Involvement. Our social worker, Leila, has been taking the girls on community involvement visits to other NGOs (non-governmental agencies) and groups in Addis Ababa also committed to making a difference in the lives of others. A recent visit to a tutoring center for orphaned and vulnerable children inspired our AJ Girls to actively plan their own individual summer community outreach projects. We are calling this the “Change your Community” project. We can’t wait to tell you later this summer how their projects unfold.
