Ever wonder what happens with the items you purchase from AJ’s Amazon wishlist?
This past spring, we asked for donations via our wishlist for school supplies to fill 101 backpacks for the school-aged children in our Family Empowerment program. Many of you so kindly donated the needed supplies. Then another group of our supporters from Capital Community Church – Raleigh stuffed the backpacks with the school supplies. And yet another supporter, Charlie’s Heart Foundation, finished purchasing the necessary school supplies and made it possible for us to get all of the backpacks to Ethiopia. Once the bags made it to Ethiopia, our in-country staff made sure they got into the hands of the children who needed them.
