Because of COVID-19 and the state of emergency orders in Ethiopia, we have switched to meeting with our FEP families individually or in small groups versus our larger FEP training groups. This change has led our staff on the ground to work on individual case management with our FEP families, enabling us to focus more intently on the unique needs of our mothers for their most significant growth. Topics covered in our individual case management sessions are: extra support in building literacy skills, focus on families with higher medical and counseling needs, and working with mothers who are ready to increase their income generation activities. Although this is not how we planned for April and May to look, it has been a blessing to be able to work with our families on a more individualized basis.
