Oh, what a night!
We had an amazing time at our annual Night of New Beginnings a couple of weeks ago. Over 250 people gathered in one room, filled with hope, support, laughter, encouragement, and love.
Having so many of our donors, champions, and supporters together was truly uplifting. It provided much-needed encouragement and support for our work in Ethiopia, empowering over 200 mothers, fathers, and children.
The food by Chef Prieto from Prime Barbecue was delicious, the venue was beautiful, and the comedian, Andrew Stanley, had us in stitches. It was definitely a night to remember!
The stories shared by our friends and supporters who visited Ethiopia and saw our work firsthand were the highlight. We want to say a big “thank you” to Nate Rector, Becky Highsmith, Jeremiah Johnson, and Micaiah Johnson for sharing their experiences with Addis Jemari and how God impacted their lives through their time in Ethiopia.
For our team, hearing others tell these stories was powerful and emotional. It made us reflect on how far God has brought Addis Jemari, especially as it coincided with our seventh anniversary.
We want to express our deep gratitude to those of you who attended the event and made a decision to support our work. Your contributions exceeded $100,000, providing vital support for our programs. The support we received included:
- 57 existing donors
- 55 first-time supporters
- 12 new monthly sponsors
- four sponsors who increased their monthly donations
- seven new prayer partners!
We feel truly blessed by this wonderful community.
