As with any family, medical situations arise. However, here in Ethiopia, medical care is still a privilege and falls short on the list for those just trying to put food in their children’s mouths. Haimanot is a mother in our FEP program who has a very sick little boy in need of medical care. Haimanot could not support his needs with the right food and nutrition he needed as a baby. While she did the best she could, the food she could afford to feed her son was not conducive to a young infant’s stomach.
We are in the beginning stages of treatment with this little one, but his needs are complex. Please pray for this mother and son as we continue to help them seek answers and to find the right doctors driven to give this boy the extra attention he needs. We ask that you also pray for this child’s comfort. He has been through so much in his short little life. We must face many hurdles with his care, but with your help and prayers we will do it together! #BetterTogether
