A few months ago, Addis Jemari held an opening ceremony for its brand new Family Empowerment Center in Akaki-Kality, the sub-city where our Family Empowerment Program is located in Addis Ababa. The event was attended by 125 FEP family members, AJ staff, and our AJ Girls. Helping to lead the charge for this event was one of our own AJ Girls! She helped prepare the center for its opening, played with the kids, and served the parents refreshments. The event was a real family affair! We are so proud of how she recognized the need within our organization and chose this event as the focus of her “Change Your Community” summer project.
