We would like to thank our AJ Board President, Tara Owens Schuler, for her service to Addis Jemari! 💛
By leaning into her passions of service and teaching, Tara has made a difference in this world working in maternal and child health programs both locally in North Carolina, as well as internationally. Tara not only serves as our board president, but has also traveled with us to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on a mission team three times. She worked closely with our staff in Ethiopia to help us develop a medical database for our Family Empowerment Program (FEP). Also, while in Ethiopia, Tara has worked alongside her mission team with our FEP mothers to train them on good hygiene practices, infant choking, and CPR. Our AJ Girls love spending time with Tara when she is in Ethiopia, and we cannot thank her enough for the inspiring example she is to them as well.
