It’s no secret that education is important to us here at Addis Jemari…for both for our AJ girls and our Family Empowerment Program (FEP) families. We also see tremendous value in encouraging our staff as they pursue higher levels of education. We have four staff members who are in the process or have obtained additional degrees recently. Our programs director, Sima, completed his first degree in Sociology and Social Anthropology and has recently completed his Master’s in Urban and Industrial Sociology. AJ’s tutor, Asrat, has earned degrees in Physics and Software Engineering and is currently working on her Master’s in Physics. Leila, our social worker, has earned degrees in Business Management and Environmental Resource Management, and is currently completing her Masters’s degree in Guidance and Counseling. Last but not least is our FEP coordinator, Minassie, who has earned a Bachelor’s in Sociology and Social Anthropology and a Master’s in Project Management and is currently working on a Master’s in Social Work. We are just so happy for each of them. We hope you will continue to join us in encouraging them through your support and praying for each of them.
