Or maybe your friend circle is merely looking to learn more about what life is like for families in other areas around the world? What about your kids? Do they belong to a program that is looking for ways to work with other kids their age to empower and encourage each other? Maybe your group has something different in mind altogether…let’s connect!
Addis Jemari would love to team up with your organization as we grow together! We are currently looking for opportunities where we can support the growth of an organization by encouraging, educating, and empowering each other through our shared desires to make this world a better place. We would love to share “Our Why” and grow our circle. It is by increasing our circle that we will be empowered to win the fight against generational poverty in Ethiopia. It is through sharing our story and encouraging and educating others that we can make this world a better place.
In the past, Addis Jemari has:
- Met with churches to talk about mission work and the growing orphan epidemic in Ethiopia due to generational poverty.
- We have also taken part in mission days with churches where church members have helped us to stuff 100+ backpacks with school supplies while learning about the impact they are having on those we serve.
- Recently, we were invited to participate in an Ethiopian cultural night for a professional alumnae sorority in Durham, where one of our board members and her mission team members shared with their group what it was like to serve with Addis Jemari in Ethiopia. The hosts of this particular event made it an authentic, immersive cultural experience complete with Ethiopian food and a shopping market full of Ethiopian textiles and products.
- We have traveled to meet with a women’s group in South Carolina to share the heart behind Addis Jemari.
- We also teamed up with a local school to support their social studies unit about education around the world.
The list goes on and on….
As you can see, we believe in community and in coming together to grow in a variety of fun and different ways. We would love to help your organization grow as you allow us to share our story with you.
If you have followed us for an extended amount of time, then you are familiar with one of our favorite taglines- Better Together. We genuinely believe in this phrase. As we work together, we are all strengthened; we all are allowed the opportunity to grow; we become #BetterTogether.
