The 50 families we are serving through our Family Empowerment program live in the largest sub-city of Addis Ababa, Akaky Kaliti (there are ten sub-cities of Addis Ababa in all). Akaky Katliti is an area of roughly 200,000 people and is listed as one of the sub-cities with a significant need for programs such as ours. It is an area of Ethiopia where very little help is being extended to the people who live there, and we are honored to encourage, educate and empower the families and children residing in Akaky Katliti.
