Ethiopia, located in the Horn of Africa, is a country rich in history and cultural diversity. With a history spanning thousands of years, Ethiopia is celebrated for its unique cultural heritage, including the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, one of the world’s oldest Christian denominations.

The capital city, Addis Ababa, serves as the political and cultural hub of the nation, hosting the headquarters of the African Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. Ethiopia’s diverse landscape ranges from the rugged Simien Mountains to the arid Danakil Depression, one of the hottest places on Earth.

The population of Ethiopia is a mosaic of ethnic groups, each with its own languages, traditions, and customs. The country proudly embraces the rich heritage of over eighty ethnic groups. Ethiopia also follows its own calendar system, known as the Ethiopian calendar, which consists of 13 months. The country is renowned for its distinctive cuisine, with injera, a sourdough flatbread, being a staple. Additionally, Ethiopia is also recognized as the birthplace of coffee.
