The third distribution of essential food and hygiene supplies, made possible by our COVID-19 Relief Fund, occurs this week! Our staff busily prepared all last week to get ready for this week’s distribution! All 50 of our Family Empowerment Program (FEP) families will be receiving much needed food supplies and hygiene essentials.
While delivering these supplies to our families, our FEP Coordinator and Social Worker will meet with the mothers in our program to assess each family’s wellbeing. Ethiopia has extended its State of Emergency until August, so we want to make sure that our families are prepared and handling the increase in food prices due to the pandemic. After meeting with all of our families, we will decide if future assistance is needed. We mustn’t let this pandemic impede all of the progress our families’ have made over the past year.
